Student Visa (subclass 500)
This visa allows students to study in Australia at a registered education institution and eligible family members can accompany students to Australia.
Before you start your student visa application, you will need to have been accepted to study at an education institution in Australia. You will need to obtain Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE) for your intended course of study in Australia.
The Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirements applies to all student visa application. The Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) will take into consideration during visa application assessment process whether the individual/s applying for student visa intends to remain in Australia on temporary basis and comply whether they are likely to comply with any visa conditions that will be subject to them.
Evidence of English Language requirement for student visa are;

You will not need to provide evidence of English language if you are;
You will need to demonstrate Evidence of Financial Capacity for your student visa by providing evidence of funds to cover your travel and living cost for 12months.
You will need to pass Health Requirements for your student visa and this can be done before you’re your student visa application lodgement by an approved panel of physicians.
You will need to have access to Overseas Student Health Insurance (OSHC), Exception apply.
You will need to pass the good Character Requirement for your student visa application.

Work Rights:
Student visa allows you to work in Australia while you are studying to support yourself. The work conditions for student visa holders and family members are;
40 hours per two weeks when course is running and
Unlimited hours when course is not running
Please note, Voluntary and unpaid jobs are not included in the work rights restrictions.

Duration of Visa:
Student visa allows you to remain in Australia for the duration of your course study.
Visa Extension:

Student Visa (subclass 590)
This visa allows parents or guardians including bodyguards of international students to stay in Australia with a student under 18 years during their study in Australia.
In the case where the nominating Student visa holder is over the age of 18 years old, they will need to provide evidence to support their reason [Medical Ground, Religion and cultural grounds].
The Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirements applies to all Student Guardian visa application. The Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) will take into consideration during visa application assessment process whether the individual/s applying for Student Guardian visa intends to remain in Australia on temporary basis and whether they are likely to comply with any visa conditions that will be subject to them.
You will need to demonstrate Evidence of Financial Capacity for your Student Guardian visa by providing evidence of funds to cover your travel and living cost for 12months – evidence of (yearly income salary of at least 70,000 AUD).

Work Rights:
Student Guardian visa will not allow you to work.

You can apply for student guardian visa from In or Outside of Australia and all application must be done online. You can apply for student guardian visa application same time as the student visa (subclass 500) or after.
Duration of Visa:
Student Guardian visa allows you to remain in Australia until the student turns 18 years. Conditions apply for students 18 years and over.
