Skilled (Provisional) - Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485)

This visa is for international students who have recently completed at least 2 years of study in Australia and hold eligible visa.

The Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) has two streams;

Graduate Work Stream – is for international students who have recently completed with qualifications and skills closely related to an occupation identified in the medium to long term occupation list.

Please note, you will need to obtain Skills Assessment in your nominated occupation before visa application.

Post-Study Work Stream- is for international students who have recently graduated with an eligible qualification from an Australian educational institution.

Before you apply for Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485) you must be;

Under 50 years old
Have recent qualification in a CRICOS-registered course
You need to meet the Study requirement in Australia
Nominate only one stream
Evidence of English Language requirement are;

intends to remain in Australia on temporary basis and comply whether they are likely to comply with any visa conditions that will be subject to them.

Evidence of English Language requirement for student visa are;

*Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) paper based	B
TOEFL internet based test	64
Cambridge English: Advanced (Certificate in Advanced English)	169
Pearson Test of English Academic	50

OR you hold valid passport issued from one of the following countries;

United Kingdom, United States, Canada, New Zealand or Republic of Ireland.

You will need to pass Health Requirements for this visa and this can be done before you’re your visa application lodgement by an approved panel of physicians.

You will need to have access to Health Insurance while you are in Australia, Exception apply.

You will need to meet certain Character Requirement for this visa application including valid Australian Federal Police Check.

No Debts to the Australian government.

Visa Cost:

$1,500 AUD for main applicant and extra fees apply for additional applicants.

Work Rights:

This visa allows you full work rights in Australia and it’s your responsibility to look you’re your own employment for the duration of your visa.

Location:

Main applicant for this visa Must be in Australia when applying for this visa and all application must be done online using the correct forms.

Duration of Visa:

Post-Study Work Stream – is valid 2 to 4 years depending on the level of your qualification.

Graduate Work Stream – is valid 18 months from the date of visa grant.

Visa Extension:
